Rob Marus gives general oversight to the news operation in his role as managing editor of ABP. Joining the staff in 2001 as bureau chief for the Washington office, he also reports on legislative, social and religious-liberty issues from the nation's capital.
A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, Rob is a graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn., and has done graduate study at Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Kan. Prior to joining the ABP staff, he was coordinator for Mainstream Missouri Baptists for two years and a news writer for the Missouri Baptist news journal Word & Way for two years.
He lives in the nation's capital, where he has served as a choir member, a deacon and a member of several committees at The First Baptist Church of the City of Washington, D.C.
