Donations of Cash
Cash donations are immediately available to Associated Baptist Press for both donor-designated and undesignated purposes. The Fund for ABPnews (our annual fund) and the ABP Newsciety (our organization for major donors) are among the most popular vehicles for supporting the ministry of ABPnews.
Donations of Securities, Real Estate and Personal Property
Transferring securities, either stocks or bonds, allows you to make a donation to ABPnews and receive a charitable deduction equal to the full fair market value. You also may avoid paying a capital gains tax on your charitable contribution. Donations must meet certain criteria and guidelines established by the ABP Foundation in order to be accepted.
Matching Donations
Many companies offer matching donation programs to encourage employees to make charitable contributions. Matching donations are a great vehicle for donors to maximize the impact of their donation. Many employers sponsor matching donation programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees.

Tribute or Memorial Donations
Tribute or memorial donationss provide an opportunity to recognize special persons who have made an impact on your life. This type of donation is a sincere way to celebrate the life and accomplishments of a significant person in your life such as a family member, friend, pastor or teacher.
Our online donation form includes an option to make a tribute or memorial gift.
Endowment Donations
Endowment donations are a crucial way to strengthen ABP’s financial stability and vitality. To live out our mission of free and responsible journalism and to sustain our credibility as an independent news organization that makes decisions about content without the threat of censorship or coercion requires a solid foundation of financial independence.
ABP’s endowment funds are preserved as restricted funds. Only earned income from these funds is used for operating expenses or other donor-designated purposes. Responsibility for oversight of the endowment funds lies with the ABP Foundation.
The Board of Directors and staff are profoundly grateful for the faithful generosity of individuals who have established endowment funds and for those who have made donations to these funds:
• The Associated Baptist Press Unrestricted Endowment Fund
• Eula Mae and John Baugh Endowment Fund
• Beth Ann and Thomas E. Boland Endowment Fund
• Ardelle and Hardy Clemons Endowment Fund for Student Internships
• Wilmer C. Fields Endowment Fund
• R.G. “Gene” Puckett Student Internship Endowment Fund
For information about any of these funds, or to explore the possibility of establishing an endowment fund to undergird ABP’s ministry, contact David Wilkinson, Executive Director.
