ABPnews Summer Campaign

August 2012

Dear Friend,

Twice a year – once during the summer and again toward the end of the calendar year – we ask for your financial support as a reader of ABPnews.

ABPnews is reader-focused and reader-supported. Contributions from readers like you make our ministry possible.

abpnewlogoYour support keeps ABPnews free as an independent news service that reports on matters of faith without the threat of censorship or control by special interests.

Your support keeps our services free. Every business day we provide timely news, compelling features and engaging commentary to readers worldwide – more than 1,000 articles a year – all without charge. In addition, you also have access to the fresh ideas, inspiring reflections and challenging insights from a rich diversity of contributors to our new ABPnews Blog.

In June our Board of Directors introduced The Fund for ABPnews, an annual fund that will sustain and strengthen the unique ministry of Associated Baptist Press. I hope you will read more about the fund – and about how you can make a difference through your investment in a free press for freedom-loving Christians.

Thanks to a generous matching challenge grant from the Eula Mae and John Baugh Foundation, you also have a wonderful opportunity to multiply the impact of your contribution to The Fund for ABPnews.

If you are a new donor to our ministry, the Baugh Foundation will match dollar-for-dollar your one-time contribution. Even better, the foundation will match your commitment in the form of an annual pledge, matching your total pledge amount fulfilled by Dec. 31.

If you are a current donor, there is great news for you too. If you are able this year to double the total annual amount you last contributed to ABPnews, the Baugh Foundation will match that amount. So, to illustrate, if your last annual contribution was $100, and you double that amount by Dec. 31, ABPnews will receive a total contribution of $400!

To make your one-time gift today or to make your first gift toward an annual pledge, simply log on to our secure online donation form. If you would like to honor a special person through an honorary or memorial gift, there is an opportunity on the form to do that.

If you prefer to make your gift or pledge by mail, just email a note to Beth Campbell at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call her at 800-340-6626, ext. 5, to request a printed donation form.  To make a one-time gift by mail, make your check payable to Associated Baptist Press, and mail to:

Gratefully,

David Wilkinson sig
